At AJ Plastic Surgery Centre, we usually do AT LEAST 2 sizing exercises with our patients where they try the ACTUAL implant in a non-padded bra under their clothing. If needed we tell our patients they can come in to do that as many times as they need until they feel comfortable before choosing the size. There are always limitations with each person’s anatomy as to what range will fit properly on their body and also considerations based on what type of look they are trying to achieve and that is what we discuss and help our patients with.
During your consultation at AJ Plastic Surgery Centre, we will discuss implant type (silicone vs saline), implant placement (over or under the muscle), incision placement (in the crease or around the areola), and also sizing. In our office, we have a wide range of sizes that you can put in your bra to see how they look on your frame (the best way to pick your new size).

Things You Should Know Before Breast Implants in Kenya
Every woman is different when it comes to her desired goals: some women want natural-looking breast augmentation with implant results and some women want more of a dramatic look. How Should I Prepare for Breast Augmentation with Implants?
It is important to us that your consultation is a relaxed, fun experience. In our office, there is no rush; we will explain to you in a clear way what your surgical procedure will entail, and answer any of your questions or concerns.
What Happens During Breast Implant Procedure in Kenya?
For your comfort and safety, breast augmentation with implants will be performed under general anesthesia. We will also place a numbing solution in your breasts so you will not feel pain even though you are under anesthesia.
How Long Does Breast Implants Take?
The surgery may take 3 to 4 hours depending on complexity, anatomy, and incision. We will make an incision either in the breast crease or around the areola and then create a precise pocket for the implant. We take extreme care to be very gentle and to keep the pocket clean with little to no bleeding.
We create and test the pocket using a temporary sizer which is a replica of the implant used for adjustments, and then when both pockets are symmetric and perfect, the entire field will be re-prepped for final implant placement. The implants will be placed using a no-touch technique to minimize any contamination to the implants. The final incision closure is done precisely and meticulously to create the best possible scar.
Breast Implants Recovery & Results: What to Expect
We have developed a special breast augmentation with implants technique that has minimal pain and a quick recovery. You will feel tightness and some soreness in the breast area, but if you have discomfort, Tylenol is typically all that is needed. There will be swelling, but this will resolve about a month after surgery depending on the size of the implants. It takes a full 4-6 months for the tissues to stretch and the implants to “drop” info their final shape or position.
When Can I Resume Normal Activities After Breast Implants?
You will need to minimize arm movement for about 2 weeks and you will wear a supportive bra for 2 months after surgery. This is something we will measure and provide for you. Most of AJ Plastic Surgery Centre patients feel almost back to normal at around 1 week after their breast augmentation surgery. Moderate exercise such as walking or stationary biking is allowed after two weeks. Vigorous exercise such as jogging, or aerobics may be resumed in 4 weeks. You will most likely be able to return to work within a few days, but you will need to avoid any strenuous activity for at least a couple of weeks.
Does Breast Implants Leave Scars?
Breast Augmentation scars take about 12 months to fade. You will start scar treatments at around 2 weeks after surgery. We will discuss scar care in detail with you and also provide you with scar medications and products. Our patients who have gotten breast augmentation tell us how they are able to wear clothes they like, no longer need to wear a padded pushup bra, and overall are very happy with their results.

Do you do revisions of breast reconstruction post mastopexy?
At AJ Plastic Surgery Centre, we specialize in cosmetic revision breast surgery. We do not do post mastectomy breast reconstruction surgery.
Do you do implant removal? If so, do you remove the capsule?
Yes. At AJ Plastic Surgery Centre, we remove breast implants. When breast implants are removed, the capsule around it must also be removed.
Can you have two surgeries like breast implants and labiaplasty at the same time?
Yes, some surgeries can be combined as Long as the OR time is not too long, and also that the post op care can be done properly by the patient. For example, we would never do tummy tuck and Brazilian butt lift since one surgery site is always crushed, and we would never do breasts and Brazilian butt lift for the same reason.
